Rayan Bandla Arrives….

Welcome the new generation of Bandlas 🙂

My brother Vinnie and sis in law Pam delivered their baby boy this morning, June 29, 2006. Both mother and baby are doing good. Rayan weighs 5.81 pounds. I will upload his pics once I get them.

FYI: It feels AWESOME to be an Aunt 🙂

A new study finds an alcoholic drink a day can significantly reduce the risk for heart disease in men but women get almost the same benefit with only one drink a week. I take Second Class train everyday
Dadar to Ghatkophar 6 rupees…Taxi is 130 Rs. and First class is Rs. 52…..So 2nd class is best

But now I am running out of things to do 😦 I still have 2o days left 🙂

My views about India

1) No way Can I get Upset Stomach because every time I sit in a Rickshaw……I get scared shitless and have to pray for my life every sec.
2) I love my India but I don’t see myself coming here for Vacation everytime
3) Why the hell does India have to play the Freaking National Anthem during a start of a movie????
4) Watching Marathi Plays was better than watching X-men 3
5) Internet sucks
6) I am mad Rich in this Country 🙂
7) Oh I took the Train in Mumbai today from Dadar to Ghatkoper (First Class) 🙂
8) Malls are ok but I don’t need Salesmen selling me things…If I like something I will buy it.
9) Coffe Cafe Day (CCD) Lot can happen over a Coffee 🙂 ….I a college hangout place from June 13th
10) I walk naked because of this heat 🙂 jk
11) I am having a blast and have done a lot of things in 8 days 🙂

Using Flickr to Share Images

So you have seen the flickr photos thing evolve with Sangi adding a lot of pictures. Guess what? you can add some too… here is how
1. Create a new account with flickr
2. Add yourself to the group bostonbandits . I will need to approve you to the group so please send me an email reminder at pushkar at gmail dot com .
3. Upload pictures to your flickr account and make sure they are marked public.
4. Click on the picture you just uploaded and on the picture toolbar, click on add to the group. Select the bostonbandits group from there.
5. That’s it.. you are done.

Notes:
1. If you just created your account and you have uploaded just a couple of pictures, chances are that these will not appear automatically on the bostonbandits.blogspot.com website since your flickr account itself is under review (what flickr calls as NIPSA).

To check if your account is under review,
a. Log in to flickr.com
b. go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/
c. If you see a message "Hey, are you wondering why your photos are not showing up here " (look at the screenshot) : then your account is still under review.
d. If your account is NIPSA, please upload atleast 5-6 pictures more to your flick account and send an email to flickr admin to get  your account live.

Have you guys read/heard about this book?? It’s written by some Desi chick from Harvard. She signed multi-million dollar contract to publish 2 books when she was 17. After her first novel is released…it turns out that she copied little parts from two different novels.
Now the publisher has taken the book off the shelves 😦

I personally think that’s stupid and the book should still be for sale. Its not like she copied the whole freaking story?

What do you guys think? What if someone took a little part from lab work and made millions…remember just a little part and now the whole thing..

So I read the book (before the movie released). Liked the story but was a let down for all the hype it was given but not just the press but people who read it. I dunno if any of u guys have read the book so don’t want to ruin it (if you haven’t read the book).
